Dansk Sweetheart of the Rodeo – “Lariat”

Lariat originally joined our family with the intent to become Rodeo’s future “wife”. Instead she became his best friend! She was and still is the ONLY dog who could share Rodeo’s crate or xpen. My boy has big boundaries! |
Lariat found her special place as a therapy dog. She not only spent time at nursing homes with older folk; she also attended a weekly session with small toddlers and babies with emotional and physical disabilities.
Lariat was trustworthy and patient with those children no matter what their behavior.

Her special nickname was “Peach”. She was the most beautiful peach color. Lariat would not come to me on a recall with her name; but she would turn on a dime and return to me if I called “Peach come”!!! Lariat was a very pretty, compact, athletic, red merle with a gentle soul. She WILL always be my “Peach”! |
